Watercress is used both cooked and fresh. A common ingredient in salads for its high nutritional value as well as it’s tangy peppery flavour.
The uses as a fresh herb are endless. Sautéed into salads and pasta dishes, or used as a garnish on pizzas and burgers and many other applications. Watercress is often used in sauces, smoothies and other health drinks, and paired with many cheeses.
Cooked, it pairs well with most meats, roasted / blanched vegetables. when used with cooked foods add towards the end of cooking.
