Dianthus (Seasonal)

Eye catching, nutritious and delicious. Many restaurants make use of edible flowers as a garnish in place of traditional herbs.

The use of edible Flowers are varied in many dishes, from cooked meals to salads, in cocktails, frozen in ice blocks or in butters.

Dianthus have a pleasant spicy, floral, clove-like taste. Ideal for decorating or adding to cakes. Their fresh petals can be used to liven up salads, sandwiches and pies (petals should be removed from the calyx and their bitter white base should be removed).
