Patty Pan squash has a creamy texture and buttery flavor. The skin is edible but it is best to cut off and discard the tough ends.
A versatile vegetable that has many uses, it can be fried (with some herbs & garlic), oven baked, added to soups and stews, chopped and added to stir-fry, steamed and grilled.
